What does sourcing cost?

Quotes and factory matching are free. You only pay when you place a production order: the factory price plus a Peregrine per-order rate that scales with your plan tier (Free, $49/mo Pro, or $79/mo Brand). No retainers, no agent commission, no sourcing fees per match.

Do you charge for samples?

Sample cost is the factory's sample fee plus shipping, typically $20 to $80 depending on the product. We show the full quote before you confirm, no surprise charges. Up to 3 sample rounds per SKU are free of any Peregrine markup. Beyond that, a small handling fee applies.

What's your MOQ?

Per-order through Peregrine has no MOQ. You can order 1 unit to test demand, scale once you validate. Going factory-direct, MOQs are set by the factory and usually land between 100 and 500 units. We show both options in every quote so you can decide.

How long until I get a quote?

Same business day in 92% of cases. Complex products (multi-component, custom tooling, unusual materials) can take 2 to 3 days while we wait on factory responses. You see the status in the chat, with an ETA on every request.

Do you handle product development from scratch?

Yes, with clear scoping up front. Send a rough sketch or reference photo. We go back and forth on materials, dimensions, and finish until the spec is locked, then sample. Custom tooling for plastics or hardware is quoted separately when needed.

Can you protect my design?

We sign NDAs with every factory and only work with vetted partners that respect IP. For higher-risk products (electronics, novel mechanical designs), we recommend filing a Chinese utility-model patent before sourcing and can refer you to a local IP lawyer.

Do you mark up factory prices?

No. The factory's invoice is the invoice you see. We never get paid by the factory (no kickbacks), and we never inflate the unit cost. Our margin is the per-order fulfillment fee, disclosed up front on every plan. Where most "agents" mark up 30-60% on units, we take 0%.

What if our point of contact disappears mid-project?

Every account has 3 named team members on the WhatsApp group: sourcing manager, ops lead, and a backup. Conversation history stays in the group, sample photos and quote PDFs stay in the dashboard, factory contacts and tooling notes stay in your account. If anyone rotates, the next person picks up the thread the same business day.
